lambda nordica journal
lambda nordica is a peer-reviewed Nordic journal dedicated to interdisciplinary research related to LGBTQ studies. It is the oldest and only existing scientific journal in the Nordic region dedicated to this field. Since its founding in 1989 lambda nordica has been a lively and important part of developing Swedish and Nordic LGBTQ studies, always in dialogue with political activism and education and it is growing in international significance.
lambda nordica aims to 1) foster dialogue between established and emerging scholars with the aim of strengthening LGBTQ studies in the Nordic region and across Europe, 2) to contribute to spreading Nordic research to the international community 3) stimulate dialogue with the international field of LGBTQ studies and 4) contribute to expanding the field and developing new areas and questions. We also introduce and review LGBTQ research. Since 2012 lambda nordica has a double publication strategy; we are free and open access via the website and also publish a printed version of the journal. We welcome submissions in both Scandinavian languages and English. In our section entitled ’We’re here’ we call attention to urgent issues, new questions and scientific debate.
lambda nordica is published with support from Torsten Amundsson’s foundation and from the Swedish Research Council (VR).
More information about the journal can be found on lambda nordica's website.
