Masculinities

The course provides an overview of the research field of masculinity studies. Focusing on central methods and theoretical approaches in masculinity studies, the course investigates shifting meanings of masculinity, sex, and gender over time and space, and also explores how these critical concepts relate to each other. The relation of masculinity studies to other fields within the framework of gender studies is also addressed.
