Gender Studies
Gender studies explores power relations, gender norms, and how gender intersects with, for example, sexuality, ethnicity, and class. Expertise in gender studies is needed in many different professions in the business world and the public sector.
PhD programme in Gender Studies
The Centre for Gender Research offers a PhD programme in Gender Studies, comprising of four years full-time study. We have an active and engaged PhD community and our PhD students work on a variety of topics.
When PhD positions are available they are advertised on Uppsala University's website. The Centre also welcomes PhD students with external funding, in line with the University's admission guidelines.

Carolina- and Karin Boye-libraries

We service researchers, teachers and students of the subject areas Humanities, Languages, Theology and Sociology. Both libraries offer course books, study places and workshops in information retrieval and reference management.
