This page is for you who have been admitted to a course or programme at the Centre for Gender Research. We would like to welcome you to an exciting and interesting semester! Here we give answers to the most common questions by newly admitted students – please read through before you contact the course administrator or Director of Studies.

I have been admitted – what do I need to do now?

All admitted students need to activate their student accounts. Please follow the instructions on uu.se/student.

If you are admitted and have activated a student account you can log in to Studium to see relevant course information.

I have been placed on the waiting list – when will I know if I've been admitted?

Applicants on the waiting list will be offered spare places, from approximately one week before course start, via the e-mail address used in the application.

For questions about visas and/or residence permits...

... please contact the university's Master coordinators for questions concerning the Swedish Migration Agency, visas and/or residence permits.

Where do I find my course litterature?

Each individual course plan contains a reading list for the course. Search for your course to find a link to the course plan here →

A limited number of copies of the course litterture can be found at the Karin Boye-library at the English Park campus. 

Where is the Centre for Gender Research? 

The Centre for Gender Research is located on Villavägen 6, in the botanical garden, behind the Orangery. The Centre has its own teaching room on the ground floor, the Karin Westman Berg room (KWB) that is suitable for smaller lectures and seminars. Larger lectures are normally held in one of the bigger lecture halls on the English Park campus.
