Nordic Centre of Excellence

Earlier this year NordForsk issued a call for proposals for Nordic Centres of Excellence (NCoE). We are now delighted to announce that Nordforsk has awarded two of the Centre’s researchers, Gabriele Griffin and Minna Salminen Karlsson, in cooperation with teams from Tampere University and Western Norway Research Institute, with 20 Mill NOK over a 5 year period.

The funding is for a Nordic Centre of Excellence with the title Beyond the Gender Paradox: Women's Careers in Technology-Driven Research and Innovation In and Outside of Academe. The NCoE will have two interconnected foci: Women’s careers in innovation regions and The effects of digitalization on female-dominated research and work areas. It will start its work in 2017. The Centre for Gender Research is very happy to host this new Centre for Excellence.
